Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, IFBB Pro Physique Competitor and 4x National Champion, “Luda” Chris Gurunlian is an independent personal trainer.

From a young age, I was always very active, playing various sports throughout my teen years.  At 18 years old, I began weight training recreationally to be in better shape.  Within months, I grew a great passion for training.  I became more serious about it and decided to compete in my first natural bodybuilding competition at the age of 19.  I quickly fell in love with the sport.  Combined with my very competitive nature, I wanted to succeed at the provincial, national, and international levels of competition.  But most importantly, I wanted to continuously improve my physique.

Since 2001, I have achieved the aforementioned objectives by competing and winning multiple times at both the provincial and national levels and I have had the opportunity to represent Canada at the IFBB World Classic Body Building Championships in Madrid, Spain in 2009. In 2012, I made the switch from natural body building to the Men’s Physique category and placed 2nd at the national championships held in Vancouver, missing 1st place and an IFBB Pro Card by 1 point.

2013 was the biggest year of my competitive career.  I placed 1st at 2013 CBBF World Qualifier in my height class but fell short of earning my pro card in the overall to a great and well deserving athlete.  I used the momentum I had going at this show and went straight to the CBBF Nationals in Vancouver where my dream of 13 years finally came true.  I earned my IFBB Pro Card in Men’s Physique by winning my first ever Overall title in 24 amateur shows becoming the first ever Men’s Physique IFBB Pro out of Quebec.

My main focus now is to help others achieve there fitness goals.  Whether it be to enter a fitness competition, or simply lose body fat or put on muscle mass, I know how to get it done and will help those who are motivated to change and learn how to live a healthier lifestyle.
